The question is, “Does the name choose the dog, or does the dog become the chosen name?”

All I know is that upon meeting Dasher, I couldn’t think of a more fitting name. :) We originally planned to photograph on Michigan campus, but with his love (or obsession?) with squirrels and a seemingly never-ending supply of energy—we watched him dash around probably for a good 15 minutes chasing squirrels–we decided that maybe this probably wasn’t the best location to photograph at. I don’t blame Dasher though; let’s be real, what dog can resist those special breed of plump and fearless squirrels at U of M?! O_o Haha.

So we ended up photographing at home, which is always better for dogs that are easily distracted.  :) Along the way, we discovered some useful tips (peanut butter and the word, “cage”) to get him to calm down enough for me to grab some shots of him. I also took a few images of their other fur kid, Leila the cat, who I think has the most gorgeous colored eyes, ever.

Tom and Promita, thank you for being so patient, and I hope you love the images of Dasher and Leila!
